The importance of ‘feeling it’ to make your wishes come true.

A few weeks ago I wrote about ‘A Visualization Secret’ that, of course, isn’t really a secret but an important yet often missed step in creating what we want in life.  A few days later I picked up an excellent new book by Dr. Wayne Dyer, Wishes Fulfilled.  In the sixth chapter of the book he discusses feeling it as the third foundation to living a wishes fulfilled life.  His words mirrored my own reflections on creating our dreams and touched me so deeply that I want to share them with you.

At the beginning of the chapter he quotes words from one of his favorite spiritual teachers:  “That which you feel yourself to be you are, and you are given that which you are.  So assume the feeling that would be yours were you already in possession of your wish, and your wish must be realized…So live in the feeling of being the one you want to be and that you shall be.” – Neville  Wayne says these words capture the essential message of his entire book and he states:

Neville’s books and lectures reveal something that makes his statement at the beginning of this chapter applicable to anyone seriously intent on mastering the art of manifestation.  That something that Neville stresses throughout all his work is the importance of feelings.  This chapter invites you to realize the enormous implication this statement has for you.  Become aware of the importance of feelings and their crucial role in advancing you from someone who merely has wishes to experiencing your wishes in you present life. So many people remain unaware of the importance of feeling that it’s almost as if it were a secret ingredient to creating a wishes fulfilled life.  The creative process begins with an idea, which the earlier chapters explored, including how to change your ideas about yourself and all that you are capable of achieving. To summarize: the cycle of the creative process is first a thought, then a feeling, then a hardening into a physical object, or ultimately a new volitional act.  To put it as plain and simple as I know how to make it:  no assumption of the feeling of the wish fulfilled, no fulfillment of our wishes.

Great stuff don’t you think??   Thank you Dr Wayne Dyer!
